Come Stroll With us!

Art and ideas will abound as we celebrate creative ways to re-use and up-cycle everything from food scraps (into compost) to ski poles (into wind chimes) and more!

Food, music, and community fun, plus:

  • Bring 3 clean used T-shirts to Pettee Library and learn how to make a rug! Starts at 5 pm

  • Throughout the stroll, join in creating a community art project on the library lawn! All the tools and materials provided.

  • Pick up a "Recycle Bingo" card from one of two Wilmington Works Booths (in Riverbank Park and next to Bartleby's) while you stroll! Find 10 upcycled items in shops (clues provided) and you can enter our raffle!

  • Travelling minstrel and master of steel lap guitar John Emil performs live in our 'upcycled lounge' between the Incurable Romantic and Village Roost, 5-7 (inside the Roost if there is rain)

  • Bartleby's hosts a plus-plus Maker lab for kids, with free samples to take home while they last.

  • WSWMD Master composter Athena Bradley will host workshops at 5:30 and 6:30, and in between is available to answer all your questions about composting! Find out how to get your compost working and upcycle those food scraps!

  • Artist Ann Coleman will be joined by colleagues Lesley Heathcote and Kate Follett exhibiting their prints and paintings for sale on Saturday from 11-7 and Sunday from 10-4.
