JANUARY 18

  • 1-5 pm Sketchy Creative Space (at rear of 22 W. Main St.): PYOP special! Paint your own pottery buy one get one 50% off: Paint one piece and get a second to paint at half price. Does not include studio sitting fee

  • 1-5 pm, Red Fox Shop (2 South Main St.): The Red Fox Shop hosts a wine tasting -- stop by to try some of their eclectic selections and browse the shop's many local offerings. (21+ to taste wine)

  • 1-5 pm The Fashion Plate and Rock River Restoration (31 W. Main Street): Stop by and and enter their raffle, each Saturday during the program. They'll pick winners (of a $50 gift certificate, one from each shop!) on Leap Day (February 29).

  • 1-4 pm Village Roost (20 West Main St.), pick a game off the shelf in the back room and settle in for game time by the fire with family or friends.

  • 4:30 pm, Bartleby’s Books (17 West Main St.): Join author John Porter for a discussion of his book, PRESERVING OLD BARNS, a wonderful resource for barn owners to assess, care for, and celebrate their special structures. 802-464-5425, myvermontbookstore.com

  • Jezebel's Eatery, at 26 W. Main Street is hosting a collaborative art show with Anchor House of Artists, on display through February. Stop in and view the art any time. John Langran will be happy to answer any questions about the art or the project!

January 25: Celebrating South Main Street!

  • 1-5 pm, Red Fox Shop (2 South Main St.): The Red Fox Shop hosts a wine tasting -- stop by to try some of their eclectic selections and browse the shop's many local offerings. (21+ to taste wine)

  • 1-3 pm, Pettee Memorial Library (16 South Main St.): Kids of all ages, stop by the library to try out some fun science experiments, build structures with the Keva planks, and other fun activities. They’ll even have snacks! Please bring your parent with you if you are under 9 years old.

  • 2-5 pm, Opa! (4 South Main Street): Opa! Hosts a ‘make your own hot chocolate’ bar. Try out the Capreso frother and add an array of yummy ingredients for a custom hot chocolate. All ages, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • 1-5 pm, Jasper Decor (9 South Main St.): Stop in and visit with owner Christina Demarothy in her beautiful shop. She’ll have some specials, snacks, and a warm welcome!


 

Also January 25

  • 1-5 pm Weather permitting: build a snowman in town! Stop by the Chamber (21 W. Main St.) or Pettee Library (16 S. Main St.), where you’ll find snowman kits containing all the accoutrement a snowman might need (carrots, coal, sticks, and outerwear!) or bring your own. Build a snowman on any open lawn around town (look for the signs if you are not sure where)... and be sure to share a picture of your creation with us! Tag @wilmingtonworks on Facebook or Instagram.
